Department

The Purchasing Projects department is responsible for project managing the purchasing activities for large, innovative projects. Purchasing Projects manages the purchasing objectives from the very first start in Advanced Technology Projects, the start of Product Projects up and until the point at which the Project is implemented. Our work involves coordinating throughout the process, from innovation, contracting and supplier selection up until the order is placed. All aspects of project management: varied and challenging. The growing focus on e-components in a driveline will enhance the dynamics of this job.

Work within Purchasing Projects can be best described as acting as a "spider in the web", where you deal with different DAF product groups and departments within a short period of time. Purchasing Projects involves working on a dynamic, wide-ranging and challenging array of tasks. This could be a big-picture task such as assessing the dynamic global supplier market through purchasing, or by contrast following up on agreements with project teams down to the fine details.
