HBO/ Techn. Bsc graduation project: Testbench expansion
Development and further expansion of the SW and hardware testbench at DAF Component sales
Job description
Our advanced engines, cabs and chassis are equipped with a large number of ECU’s. To program and diagnose these ECU’s a testbench is available within DAF Components. The graduation project is related to this testbench:
- Expansion of the test bench with vehicle related components (Display, security gate way etc);
- Creation of a test and analyses environment using Canalyzer and DAVIE;
- Selection and implementation additional measurement tools (oscilloscope, CAN system tool chain etc.);
- Creation of training manual for sales engineers.
Your profile
We are looking for a student that is in its final stage of education leading to a Bachelor or Master in Automotive or Electrical/Electronics systems engineering.
Student should have:
- Great interest in Automotive engineering especially in the electronics area;
- Have basic knowledge on Engine Management Systems and Vehicle Control Systems;
- Have received formal education and/or has practical experience in analyzing CAN systems and other vehicle networks using engineering tools;
- Has the ability to speak and write in English (and preferable Dutch).
Department
DAF Components is a leading independent supplier of components such as engines, axles and cabs. These are supplied to manufacturers of coaches, buses, off road vehicles and special vehicles for agriculture and industry all over the world. DAF Components is part of DAF marketing and Sales
Within DAF Components a group of 7 sales engineers support OEM’s (world wide Coach and Special trucks producers) in engineering DAF Components into their vehicles.
