Job description
Assist the Financial Accounting Manager in the timely and accurately maintenance of the general ledger in accordance with the applicable local accounting principles and PACCAR Accounting policies. The Accounting Assistant will mainly work for PACCAR Financial Netherlands (incl. cross border/Ireland), and will also support PACCAR Financial Services.
Main tasks:
- Support the Financial Accounting Managers / Assistants with the day to day operations of the general ledger as required and the month end close process
- Handle numerous account reconciliations that vary in frequency and complexity
- Prepare daily journal entries to book accounts receivable/payable transactions
- Perform reconciliations between systems interfaced (i.e. Alfa/WAS) and general ledger and analyze/resolve reconciling differences
- Investigation of suspense/clearing accounts
- Preparation of payments and booking of bank statements
- Support in SOX controls and audits
- Support in VAT declaration
- Other projects / ad hoc tasks as assigned
Your profile
For the position of Accounting Assistant we are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic candidate. You have strong analytical skills and you work accurately. The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- Accounting/Business Economics degree on a Bachelor level
- Knowledge of Exact is a pre
- Good level of Excel
- Growth potential
- Ability to organize your own work
- Good communication skills in Dutch and English
- Good team player
- Ability to work under pressure to meet non-negotiable deadlines (flexibility at month end close)
- Ability to prioritize own work

PACCAR Financial Europe, which operates in 16 countries in Europe, is a fast growing, dynamic organization.
