Job description
For our purchasing project management department, we are looking for a graduate student who will determine a Optimized warranty strategy for the Engine Emission Related Components for the US Market.
As an graduate student, you will be responsible for creating the most optimal strategy, taking into account commercial and technical inputs, regarding emission related component warranty for engines sold in the US market. Leading to cost reductions per engine sold.
Your main goal will be to:
- Mapping the current status regarding Emission Related Components
- Determine and Propose the most optimal situation and strategy for our new engine generations on component level
- Ultimately; reduce warranty costs per sold engine
Your profile
- You are enrolled in an HBO or University program focusing on a business or technical field
- An interest in Automotive / Combustion engine Technology is a plus.
- Language skills; Strong communication skills in English and Dutch are required
- You have the ability to deliver your work with accuracy
- Competencies: Analytical, Curious, Determined, Attention to Detail
Department
The Purchasing Projects Department is part of the PACCAR Purchasing Europe Organization of DAF Trucks and is Located in Eindhoven. The department is responsible for Project Management within Purchasing for a wide range of projects in different phases. These are product projects for Vehicles and Powertrain, from Advanced Technology to Project realization. Coordinating the process from Innovation, Contracting, Supplier Selection to ordering is part of our work and we are therefore working closely together with the purchasing and product development teams.
The work within Purchasing Projects is dynamic, broad, and challenging. The department is also responsible for developing and implementing new tools and standards for managing these projects within procurement.
