Job description

As an Open and Inclusive Culture Program intern:

  • You are in charge of organizing inspiring events and initiatives that embrace diversity and help creating an inclusive work environment. You are also in charge of venue research and booking;
  • You play a vital role in coordinating training sessions, ensuring everything is ready for a smooth execution. You'll work closely with the program manager to schedule and organize training sessions and assist with logistics and preparation, such as setting up training materials and arranging the necessary resources and locations;
  • You work with the Corporate Communications team on event messages and themes to ensure the alignment of key messages;
  • You have the opportunity to embrace new ideas and make suggestions for improvements by using proven methods or coming up with fresh approaches that others can adopt;
  • You handle administrative duties including expense reports, invoicing, and participant lists.

Your profile

You are enrolled in an HBO program in the field of Marketing, Event Management, or HR.

  • You have a strong interest in Diversity and Inclusion;
  • You have good understanding of English and Dutch, one of the two should be fluent;
  • You enjoy combining creativity and innovation with more practical responsibilities such as logistics and operations when delivering events;
  • You're highly organized and able to work across a range of priorities and projects. You ideally will already have some experience in event planning, although not essential;
  • You have strong communication skills enabling you to adapt your style according to your audience;
  • You have a huge appetite for learning and the ability to pick up new skills quickly

Department

DAF is on a mission to cultivate an inclusive work environment where everyone feels safe and valued, is free to speak up, and has fun, not only in Eindhoven but in all our locations in Europe. To achieve this, the Open and Inclusive Culture Program was initiated, It is part of the HR organization at DAF Trucks in Eindhoven. 

Led by a passionate program manager, the team is supported by a group of dedicated volunteers from within our employee base. They operate every quarter, around themed quarters. During each quarter, the program manager coordinates a range of trainings, events, and initiatives aligned with the chosen theme. This structured approach ensures a focused and engaging experience for employees, allowing them to deepen their understanding, develop new skills, and actively participate in fostering an open and inclusive culture within at DAF.

  • A housing allowance, if you temporarily rent a room near DAF.
