DAF XB series awarded in Czech Republic and Slovakia
Recognition for versatile distribution truck
For the second consecutive year, the New Generation DAF XB has been awarded ‘TOP Light Truck’ by the leading transport magazine Transport a Logistika from the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The DAF XB distribution range was recognized for its perfect blend of low environmental impact, outstanding efficiency, advanced safety features and superior driving comfort.
The DAF XB series for distribution applications is offered with efficient PACCAR PX-5 and PX-7 diesel engines (124 kW/170 hp to 227 kW/310 hp) as well as fully electric drivelines (120 kW/156 hp to 190 kW/250 hp) for zero emission driving ranges up to 300 kilometers. The vehicle is available with Day, Extended Day, and Sleeper Cab as well as in a dedicated XBC version for construction applications.
‘Class-leading’
The New Generation XB stands out because of its high payload, unsurpassed manoeuvrability and excellent bodybuilder-friendliness, as is once again illustrated by the survey conducted by Transport a Logistika among owners, drivers, and transport professionals in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In addition, this jury states that the XB series offers class-leading driver comfort and outstanding safety, also thanks to a comprehensive suite of ADAS systems.
‘XB is industry favourite’
Michal Štengl, chairman of the jury and editor-in-chief of the magazine Transport a Logistika: “The XB continues to lead the light truck category. It remains the transport industry’s favourite in the segment of distribution trucks up to 19 tons. DAF proves that light medium duty trucks can deliver a remarkably enjoyable driving experience and excellent user-friendliness.”
