Job description

Your profile:

  • You're studying towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business IT & Management or something similar
  • You're comfortable working in English and/or Dutch
  • You genuinely enjoy unravelling a process and figuring out how to make it better
  • AI and AI agents are something you find naturally interesting
During the interview we enjoy hearing about side projects or personal work you have been working on. It doesn't have to be polished, it just tells us a lot about how you think.

Your profile

To make life easier for the teams that work with us, we want to build an AI agent that acts as our first line of support. This agent should be able to walk teams through the application onboarding process, propose solutions based on our best practices, and help software developers get the most out of our code libraries.
As our intern, you will be the one building this agent. The assignment has two sides to it: understanding and improving our current processes, and actually creating the AI agent itself. It helps if you can read source code but you are not expected to write code yourself.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Talking to stakeholders to understand what they need
  • Mapping out the process to identify which sources the AI agent should draw from
  • Spotting opportunities to improve existing processes and putting those improvements into practice
  • Exploring existing AI solutions and picking up best practices along the way
  • Building your proposed solution and showing that it actually works
  • Writing up recommendations to keep the agent relevant and maintainable going forward
  • Connect the agent to existing DAF tooling so it can do more than just answer questions
  • Look into whether the agent could be integrated directly into a software engineer's code editor

Department

You will be part of an experience and dedicated international development team within the IT Europe department of PACCAR, that is located in our office in Eindhoven, the Netherlands and works together with colleagues in Seattle and India.

Our team manages an identity and access management platform that brings dealers, customers, and suppliers together in one place. Through a single login, they can access a wide range of DAF applications to configure, sell, and manage trucks.
A big part of what we do is helping other DAF application teams connect to our platform smoothly. We provide onboarding guides, software libraries, and ongoing support to make the integration process as straightforward as possible. On top of that, we continuously keep up with the latest security standards and update our codebase accordingly.

We offer

  • A view behind the scenes at a large international corporation;
  • You will get a lot of freedom and responsibility. We are open to your initiatives and depending on the assignment you see your results back in the workplace;
  • An experienced coach and supervisor who can teach you a lot and is willing to help you with your assignment;
  • After your graduation, you will have the opportunity to start your career at DAF;
  • An internship wage of  € 375,- gross (Bachelor) per month on full-time base
  • A travel allowance, if you don’t have a student travel product (provided by the Dutch government);
  • A housing allowance, if you temporarily rent a room near DAF.
Each intern will have the opportunity to participate at the Student Event. During this event you will meet other interns and find out more about DAF/PACCAR!
