Job description
As a bachelor intern, you will conduct an in-depth analysis of the used truck market in the STAN region. Your research will focus on market developments, competitor positioning, and growth oppertunities. Based on your findings, you will develop a strategic expansion plan aimed at increasing the market share of DAF Used Trucks in Kazakhstan and neighboring countries.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting a comprehensice market analysis of the used truck market in the STAN countries, with a focus on economic, political, and logistical factors.
- Identifying and evaluating key competitors, distribution channels, and customer needs within the region.
- Researching local regulations, import procedures, and potential merket entry barriers.
- Formulating strategic recommandations to support market penetration and sustainable growth.
- Preparing a well-substantiated business case and expansion proposal for DAF Used Trucks in Kazakhstan, and presenting your findings and recommandations to the management team.
Your profile
- You are a bachelor student in a relevant field such as Business Administration, International Business, Economics, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- You have strong analytical skills and a curious, research-oriented mindset.
- You have an affinity with international markets and an interest in the transport and logistics sector.
- You are independent, proactive, and work in a structured manner.
- You have excellent command of English, both written and spoken; knowledge of Russian or a regional language is a plus.
- You are available for an internship period of at least 5 months.

DAF Used Trucks is a leading player in the international market for used trucks. With a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction, we are expanding our activities worldwide. To strengthen our position in emerging markets, we are focusing on the STAN countries (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan), with special attention to Kazakhstan.
