Test operation

Extensive testing and validation operations are required to realize highly-developed advanced driver assistance functions and to increase the safety of our trucks. In some cases, public roads are used; and from time to time, such a vehicle may also cross your path. In case of the Test Operation we will not keep the collected data longer than is necessary for the test purposes. The camera(s) on the DAF Trucks record data but will not store it unless certain parameters have been met which have been set for the test operation. 

In accordance Art. 15 EU GDPR, you, the affected party, have the right to request confirmation from the responsible party, DAF Trucks N.V., Hugo v.d. Goeslaan in Eindhoven, as to whether personal data relating to you was being processed.

In accordance with Art. 15  GDPR, you have the right to have your request answered in writing. We therefore ask you to provide us with the following personal information. In order to rule out that you have been recorded we need to be able to identify you. To be able to do so we ask to make your photo available to us so that we can continue to identify you with certainty and to inform us of the data and time on which you have encountered our test vehicle. 

Based on your response, we will promptly check your request so that it can be answered as quickly as possible.
