Job description
As a Customer Support Agent, you are responsible for all first line communication with our customers, dealers and subsidiaries regarding Connected Services information and issues:
- Registering all requests in our ticketing system. You ensure that you fully understand the customer’s request by asking relevant questions and clearly mapping out the situation
- Gathering all necessary information and informing the customer. This involves translating sometimes technical information into clear, accessible language that the customer can easily understand.
- Handling the issues reported by our customers:
- You attempt to reproduce the problem based on the information provided, so that you can create an accurate ticket in the system.
- You attempt to resolve the issue independently at first using the available knowledge and resources.
- If you are unable to solve the problem, you escalate the request to 2nd Line support, specifically to the Functional Application Manager.
- In addition, you monitor the process by maintaining contact with both the customer and internal departments to obtain timely answers and updates.
The customer support agents also work closely with the Marking and Business Development team:
- Circling back Business feedback
- Administrational tasks
Your profile
We are looking for an enthusiastic MBO student who is pursuing a degree in fields such as Customer Support or a related area. Function requirements:
- Customer friendly and stress resilient
- Besides English or Dutch, at least 2 languages out of French, German or Spanish
- Ability to handle sensitive topics – all work is related to GDPR privacy legislation
- Strong administrative skills
- Commercial skills are useful
- It is not necessary to have a strong IT affinity, but you should not be afraid of it. Only basic Microsoft office knowledge is required.

Global Connected Services Europe is a dynamic and growing part within the organization of DAF Trucks with a strong focus on in-truck software solutions. Our platform delivers a wide range of digital services directly from the truck - such as telematics insights, driver support, predictive maintenance data, and fleet performance tools. With an expanding global customer base, understanding how different customers use their trucks and digital services is crucial for improving our offerings. It is responsible for services-based data derived from the truck. Based on this data, generated by the truck, we offer the customers insights to help them to optimize their operations.
As a part of Global Connected Services, the Sales and Support team brings connected solutions to market, enhances customer experience and drives subscription / partner revenue.
Our team consists of 3 customer support agents and 2 functional application managers.
