Job description

You will be working in an exciting international purchasing organization. Tasks that you can undertake include:

  • Analyze Supply Chain and create recommendations
  • Contribute to risk assessments and mitigation strategies within the supply chain
  • Support Engineering Change Request and related Request for Quotations
  • Develop processes to effectively manage expectations among internal stakeholders
  • Process CMP (Cost Management Program) inflow
  • Prepare presentations and documentation for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support negotiations by preparing data analyses and supplier performance reports
  • Conduct market research and benchmark suppliers to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Assist with supplier event(s)

In addition to these activities, you will also have the opportunity to develop an assignment or research project on one of the above topics. This assignment can be tailored to your academic requirements and personal interests, allowing you to combine practical experience with theoretical insights.

Your profile

We are looking for an energetic and proactive HBO intern who is eager to embrace responsibilities and thrive in the fast-paced environment of an international leader in the automotive industry.

  • Currently enrolled in a HBO / WO (University of Applied Sciences or University) program (for example: Supply Chain, Commercial, Automotive, Business Administration)
  • Strong proactive and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
  • Genuine interest in technical subjects.

You are available in the period February 2026 - June 2026

Department

The work at the Department of Purchasing takes place in an international, challenging and inspiring environment. Within The Electrical & Electronics Purchasing group, components are sourced for the entire truck (engine, chassis and cabin). Correctly managing relationships with our suppliers is essential for our continuing success as a truck manufacturer. Purchasing has a strategic and crucial role in the acquisition of competitive products and services.
