Job description

As a communication intern in the Costing & Analysis team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing how our team communicates internally across the organization. Your work will help increase visibility, clarity, and engagement around the impactful work we do, ensuring that our insights and innovations reach the right audiences effectively.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement an internal communication strategy: Analyze current communication practices and design a plan that improves awareness and engagement regarding the Costing & Analysis team’s activities, achievements, and insights. This includes defining target audiences, key messages, communication channels, and frequency.
  • Engage with key stakeholders inside and outside the department to understand the communication needs, preferences and pain points.
  • Create and maintain content: Produce clear, engaging, and accessible communication materials such as newsletters, posts on SharePoint, and video scripts that highlight team projects, reports, dashboards, and success stories.
  • Develop training and documentation: Design user-friendly guides, FAQs, and training materials to help employees understand and effectively use the team's reports and dashboards, thereby bridging the gap between data insights and business users.

Your profile

We are looking for an enthusiastic student in the field of Communication. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Education: Currently pursuing a HBO or WO degree in Communication, Marketing, Business or a related field with strong emphasis on communication.
  • Self-start mentality with a proactive approach to tackling challenges and problem-solving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English) to convey findings to various stakeholders, including team members and management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being capable of independent work.
  • Interest and understanding of data analytics is a plus.

Department

Costing & Analysis is a centralized data analytics team within the After Sales organization of DAF. We provide data-driven solutions and support the business to achieve optimal customer satisfaction. We focus on data process automation, data analytics visualization, and advanced analytics such as machine learning and AI. By analyzing the diverse data in our data warehouse, visualizing the results through reporting/dashboards and applying machine learning models we are able to provide crucial insights to the business timely and efficiently. We make sure that the data available within DAF is used to an optimal level.
