The Manager Internal Control is part of the DAF Finance and Control organization, where you will engage with and support business controllers on monitoring, identification and reporting of risk findings, remedial corrective actions including risk assessments as well as gap analysis against regulatory guidance, best practices and policies and procedures.

The programs relate to internal and business controls in financial and operational processes in purchasing, production, sales, product development, IT and finance & control at DAF Eindhoven, DAF Westerlo, Leyland Trucks, PACCAR Financial and the European sales offices.

The Manager Internal Control is responsible, together with process owners, for the design of the internal control framework, mainly SOx and business controls with a clear link to IT related aspects. Internal audit will test design and operational effectiveness of the framework.

Furthermore:

  • You will work cross- departmental, such as finance, business, and IT, to ensure an integrated approach to internal controls and risk management. 
  • You are the primary contact for external and internal auditors and you are responsible for follow-up of deficiencies and audit findings.
  • You will participate in projects from an internal control perspective, and you will be advising management in the design of processes, process improvements and optimization, and identification of risks.
  • You report periodically to the Finance & Control management on the status, results and follow-up of these programs.
In this role you report to the Controller Financial Accounting.

Jouw profiel

For this challenging position, we are looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious candidate. To succeed in this position, it is important that you easily connect with various stakeholders.

  • You have a Master degree in Business Economics and preferably a Post-Master Accountancy degree (RA). 
  • You have at least 8 years work experience of which at least 5 years of experience in (internal) audit and/or internal control (SOx).
  • You have knowledge of business processes and organizational models, administrative organization and (IT) internal controls and relevant legislation and developments.
  • You have excellent communication skills in English (and Dutch preferred), you are stress resistant and you have outstanding project management skills.
  • Your autonomous, pro-active and independent attitude is important and you are able to collaborate with the organization to achieve the goals.
