Bachelor Internship: Analyzing legacy applications and related databases and creating future proof system

DAF Purchasing is replacing its legacy applications and related databases with future proof cloud-based technology.  Your role will be to analyze a set of these, and which today are foundational to other applications in the Purchasing Systems landscape

Functiebeschrijving

Your role will be to support replacing legacy applications and related databases by available future proof cloud based systems. 

  • You will support the database analyses (mainly Microsoft Access based) 
  • You will work with a business analyst and external supplier to define and implement a future proof replacement
  • You will work with data available in cloud to create a reporting database for Purchasing department 

Jouw profiel

We are looking for an enthusiastic intern who likes to be part of replacing legacy with modern technology. 

  • Bachelor in IT/Computer Science 
  • You have knowledge of MS Access 
  • You have knowledge of Python and cloud-based technologies- preferably AWS  
  • You like to work with latest digital technology 
  • You have analytical skills
  • You are an easy communicator in word and writing in English

Afdeling

The Purchasing Department is responsible for the sourcing of all components and supporting services to design, build and sell high-end Trucks. Purchasing finds and selects suppliers, contracts them, measures performance and manages the supplier relationships. Closely collaborating with Product development, Operations, Marketing & Sales, and other supporting departments.

The Digital Systems team within Purchasing is responsible for improving the Purchasing systems to support the processes and to provide relevant data and insights for Purchasing to make the right decisions. 
The team consists of 4 business analysts.
