The purpose of this assignment is to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the CO2 reduction plans, alongside energy and gas management strategies, submitted by our suppliers, with a strong emphasis on enhancing our own supply chain sustainability strategy. In today’s business environment, compliance with sustainability standards is not just a regulatory obligation but a strategic imperative. Organizations are increasingly held accountable by stakeholders, regulators, and consumers to demonstrate their commitment to environmental responsibility. By embedding sustainability into our supply chain practices, we can effectively mitigate risks related to regulatory non-compliance and supply chain disruptions while unlocking substantial business value through enhanced operational efficiency, innovation, and improved brand reputation.
Objective:
Your analysis should reveal opportunities to fortify the supply chain, development of strategies for sustainability, and to embed these strategies into our processes for sustainable business growth.

- Categorizing suppliers and commodities into relevant segments for CO2 reduction, as well as energy and gas management.

Jouw profiel
We are looking for a proactive intern studying in Business Administration, Environmental Science, or related fields who can assist us in improving our supply chain sustainability strategy. You should have a strong drive to understand sustainability practices, be structured, possess the ability to gather information from a variety of stakeholders and turn analytical information into practical strategy’s. Additionally, you should be able to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary and international team.

The purchasing process is of strategic importance to DAF Trucks, as it directly impacts 75% of the costs of a truck.
