We are looking for an intern to analyze the data originating from tool sensors positioned on casting and stamping supplier tooling for DAF’s global Cabin and Engine products.
Main tasks are :
- You will work closely with the commodity managers and the suppliers and the 3rd party of the sensors (Emoldino)
- Extract and clean sensor data from the Emoldino system.
- Compare Suppliers’ current manufacturing performance metrics against baseline data
- Identify deviations, inefficiencies, or potential issues affecting tool performance.
- Generate clear reports with visualizations to communicate findings.
- Provide actionable insights to help improve tooling efficiency and maintain consistent quality.
Jouw profiel
- Industrial, Supply Chain or Mechanical Engineering student (bachelor final year) looking for an opportunity to work in an automotive industry data analysis.
- Focus on optimizing existing manufacturing processes and leverage technology for efficiency.
- Analyze data, propose initiatives, and collaborate with the best professionals in the industry.
- Gain experience in cost management, data analysis, and project management.
- Combine engineering skills with analytical skills.
Afdeling
Purchasing Group 3 consists of 16 colleagues including management that are responsible of the strategic sourcing of metal components for engine plants, cabin plant, axle plant and the sourcing of raw materials required for in-house processing. Products are sourced around the globe ensuring manufacturing excellence and supply stability against lowest optimized cost.
