Afdeling
The Rigids & Vocational department is a young department within DAF Marketing & Sales, responsible for market share growth in the rigid truck segment. DAF has the ambition to grow substantially in this segment. The market will undergo considerable changes in the coming years, such as the transition to zero-emission trucks and the associated new technology. The Rigids/Vocational department plays a crucial role in guiding this transition within the DAF Marketing & Sales organization and the bodybuilding industry.
Over the past year, our department has achieved important milestones, including the introduction of the 5-axle 10x4 FAF configuration and the development of a Car Transporter with a lowered roof and an additional pusher axle. These projects demonstrate our innovative approach and commitment to meeting complex customer and bodybuilder demands. Additionally, the department supports Sales Engineering activities across various countries worldwide, as well as Non Standard Orders support. We also contribute to DAF’s CO2 reduction targets by sharing expertise on VECTO and related technologies.
