As a (Electrical) Sales Engineer Rigids & Vocational, your main tasks will be:
- Starting and leading new projects to increase sales and improve the quality of rigid and vocational vehicles
- Giving technical support to sales teams and dealer organizations.
- Advising the body-building industry
- Promoting Bolt & Play and Plug & Play vehicles
- Supporting the Pre-Order Approval and Non-Standard Order process
- Working closely with the Sales engineering teams, Product & Services Planning, and Product Development.
- Showing strong knowledge of electronics and software in our vehicles and understanding how these affect vehicle operation.
Jouw profiel
- You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or something similar
- You have 3 to 5 years of experience in a technical or technical-commercial role in the automotive industry
- Strong knowledge of vehicle technology, and preferably bodybuilding processes
- Knowledge of electronic systems is strongly desired, especially due to the move to electric vehicles and related challenges
- Strong organizational and coordination skills with a hands-on approach in leading technical projects
- Proactive, customer-oriented, and service-minded attitude
- Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch or other EU languages are a plus
- Stress-resistant, flexible, and result-driven
- You are willing to travel occasionally (once a month)
Afdeling
The Rigids & Vocational department is a young team within DAF Marketing & Sales, focused on growing our market share in the rigid truck segment. DAF aims to grow strongly in this area. The market will change a lot in the coming years, for example with the move to zero-emission trucks and new technologies. The Rigids & Vocational department plays an important role in leading this change inside DAF Marketing & Sales and in the bodybuilding industry.
In the past year, our team reached important goals, like launching the 5-axle 10x4 FAF configuration and developing a Car Transporter with a lowered roof and an extra pusher axle. These projects show our innovative way of working and our commitment to meeting the complex needs of customers and bodybuilders.
Additionally, we support Sales Engineering activities across various countries worldwide, as well as providing support for Non-Standard Orders.
