As North America (NA) Emissions Compliance Running Change Engineer you will represent Emissions Compliance within the product change process for PACCAR’s powertrain products certified for sale in the U.S. and Canada.
Your tasks:
- Become an expert on the change control processes (e.g. Running Change, Engineering Change Request) within PACCAR with the goal to continuously improve product emissions compliance change control;
- Act as an agent of emissions compliance by actively participating in Change Control Board (CCB) meetings to thoroughly review change content and assess the impact on compliance;
- Prepare agency (EPA and CARB) running change submission documents for PACCAR powertrains (engine software/OBD and hardware);
- Track and manage agency discussions and key decisions impacting agency document submissions;
- Maintain Emission Related Parts database;
- Create, track, and report the master timing plan for agency submissions;
- Follow and implement legal changes affecting agency submission requirements.
Jouw profiel
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field required. Master's degree preferred;
- At least 5 years of engineering, certification/homologation, or compliance experience in the automotive or heavy-duty truck industry;
- Understanding of relevant environmental regulations (e.g., EPA Part 1036, CARB 1956.8, CARB 1971.1);
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders;
- Detail oriented with strong attention to accuracy and timeliness;
- Openness to occasional flexible (i.e. evening) working hours to coordinate with colleagues in the U.S.;
- Proficient in spoken and written English, Dutch proficiency is a bonus.

The Emissions Process Compliance team consists of appr. 3 North American Emissions Compliance engineering professionals and reports to the Emissions Compliance Operations area of the organization. The department works to promote a culture of compliance to ensure that PACCAR exercises due diligence with regard to product emissions certification and compliance.
