Record Quarterly Global Truck Deliveries and Parts Sales Drive Results

The 'DAF European Technician of the Year 2018’ award has been won by Marin Pavicic (33), who works at the Walter Aichwalder dealership in Klagenfurt, Austria. The European final, which consisted of various assignments and tests, took place at DAF Trucks in Eindhoven. The trophy was presented by Johan Drenth, After Sales Director of DAF Trucks N.V.

1928 - 2018
On 1 April 1928, Dutch engineer Hub van Doorne started a small construction workshop in the city of Eindhoven, the Netherlands. From these humble beginnings, DAF has evolved into a leading global truck manufacturer focused on innovation, quality, and transport efficiency.
At its International Dealer Meeting in Seville, Spain, DAF awarded ESA Trucks Polska Sp. z o.o. ‘2018 DAF International Dealer of the Year’ for its leading performance in terms of Trucks, Parts and Financial Services sales, as well as growth realized and customer satisfaction. Dealer DBK sp. z o.o. in Olsztyn (Poland) was named ‘PACCAR Parts Europe International Dealer of the Year’, whereas Ford & Slater Ltd from Leicester (UK) was awarded ‘PACCAR Financial Europe International Dealer of the Year’.
DAF Trucks had strong performance around the world in 2017. DAF’s European (EU+2) market share in the heavy segment (16 tons+) was at a level of 15.3%, and in the light segment it increased to 10.5%. In addition, a record number of over 9,000 DAF trucks was registered outside Europe and PACCAR engines sales to leading coach and bus manufacturers reached a new record.

Increased Truck Market Share and Aftermarket Parts Drive Results

The leading Spanish transport company Primafrio recently put 280 DAF XF trucks into operation. “Based on the excellent reliability and fuel efficiency of the first 30 XF trucks added to our fleet, we have taken delivery of another 250 units”, commented Juan Conesa, Managing Director of Primafrio. “These great new trucks are part of our plan to further expand our business throughout Europe.”
DAF Trucks has opened a new, state of the art dealership in the south of Paris. The opening of DAF Trucks Paris in Massy will be followed by the commissioning of a second new dealership in the North of Paris in 2019.
