DAF is introducing the new generation CF and XF trucks, which set a new standard in transport efficiency and driver comfort. After nearly thirty years in Thame, Oxfordshire DAF UK is moving to a new facility in neighbouring Haddenham, Buckinghamshire. Last week, an official groundbreaking ceremony took place that signals the beginning of a £20 million investment that is “Instrumental in further strengthening DAF’s market leading position in the UK”, commented Ray Ashworth, DAF Trucks UK Managing Director.
2016 marks growth in major markets
DAF Trucks increased its European market position in 2016. Market share in the heavy segment (16 tons+) grew by a significant 0.9% to 15.5%. DAF strengthened its position in almost all European countries and holds market leadership in The Netherlands, United Kingdom, Poland, Hungary and Bulgaria.
