As a Transport Quality & Customs Engineer you’re part of the PACCAR Parts Transport team and you will be in charge of all customs regulations like EUDR, Dual Use, CBAM, etc. Next to that you need to manage and improve all other trade compliance topics & transport quality claims.
For a Transport Quality & Customs Engineer it is important to:
- Stay up to date with customs & trade compliance rules , and trade agreements.
- Connect with various departments within DAF related to trade compliance and customs topics
- Connect with external consultants and our various customs brokers in various countries
- Support Parts Operations with customs / compliance issues
- Support the DAF customs broker with information requests
- Generate all relevant documents in compliance with legal (PACCAR) standards
- Make sure Parts Operations complies with important customs legislation like Dual Use, EUDR, CBAM, etc. in all connected countries.
- Monitor relevant logistical parameters and data
- Handle Transport Quality claims and procedures
- Follow relevant trainings
- Train Parts Operations to be compliant in the physical process
Jouw profiel
You have Bachelors’ degree preferable in logistics (HBO) and experience or knowledge of customs and export processes. You bring at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of Customs legislation and processes
- Basic Transport Knowledge (all mobilities)
- The ability to build strong relations with both internal and external parties
- Experience and affinity with IT applications, DAF Mainframe, Spot-on, tracking applications, Customs systems etc.
- You are accurate and have affinity with legislations and regulations, and enjoy digging into them
- Professional communication skills in English and or Dutch
- Working in day shift
- Grade 11, with the opportunity to grow

PACCAR Parts Europe (PPE) is responsible for growing spare parts sales to customers in all DAF markets worldwide, exclusively through the DAF and TRP branded dealer network; DAF, PACCAR and TRP. PPE uses 5 state-of-the-art distribution centers (PDCs) in Eindhoven, Leyland, Madrid, Budapest and Massbach and delivers unique and innovative customer and dealer solutions.
The Transport Team supports Parts Operations with efficient and fast transport solutions. The department consists of 14 trained professionals. Our mission is to provide the best service all over the world to our dealers through innovation, digitalization, most advanced technologies and continuous improvement.
