Technical analysis is a key activity that is required to support the Powertrain Definition & Integration team in the decision-making process to come to the best powertrain solution for the PACCAR vehicle customer, under the nameplates Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF. Main topic is to perform state-of-the-art analysis to direct technical solutions and roadmaps for electric, hybrid and diesel powertrain development and validation.
Your work is diverse and includes:
- Model, analyze, and interpret results of PACCAR PACCAR available powertrain designs and transfer the results into valuable information for Powertrain Definition & Integration developments;
- Perform simulations and analyses on drivability, fuel/energy consumption and CO2 emissions focusing on vehicle and powertrain level;
- Modelling of powertrain dynamics supporting the development of powertrain controls;
- Processing the analyses to conclusions and concept recommendations including reporting on the technical as well as management level;
- Aligning and coordinating the activities and deliverables with main stakeholders in the team and with other divisions;
- Setup virtual verification and validation plans for the running projects on the FE/CO2 powertrain simulations;
- Participate in European expert teams for e.g. CO2 legislation and/or VECTO tool development.
Jouw profiel
- Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent;
- Proven affinity/experience with analytics and preferred with automotive technologies;
- Excellent analytical skills MSc. Level;
- Knowledge and experience with analytics tools (i.e. MATLAB and or equivalent);
- Effective communication skills in the Dutch and English language;
- A customer oriented team player with a proactive and result driven workstyle.
