In a role within the Purchasing Parts department, you will have the opportunity to utilize your commercial expertise effectively. As Commodity Manager Parts you are responsible for the purchasing of goods that will be sold worldwide directly via DAF dealers. You will therefore work closely with all global purchasing organizations (including those in China and India) and with fellow commodity managers at PACCAR Parts North America as well as Logistics, Marketing & Sales and Pricing specialists from PACCAR Parts in Eindhoven.
In the role of Commodity Manager, you will be responsible for the entire purchasing workflow for truck and trailer parts. You will provide the interface between external suppliers and the internal client.
- Your duties will include making well-founded supplier selections and conducting price and contract negotiations
- You will conduct ongoing market research and benchmarking in order to capitalize on new trends in the global supplier market and assure a complete and competitive product portfolio
- You will ensure a strong supplier performance in the areas of quality and delivery reliability through Supplier Performance Management
- Using Key Performance Indicators, you will strive to secure PACCAR Parts competitive position and continuous improvement from your suppliers
- You will manage improvement projects and co-ordinate projects with other regions including Brazil and Best Cost Countries
Jouw profiel
- Completed Bachelor or Master degree in, for example, commercial, automotive engineering, or (technical) business studies
- You are known to think “Out of the Box” concerning your approach towards setting up processes and procedures and in everyday practice
- You have a flexible mentality in handling different improvement projects with many internal and external stakeholders
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ work experience in the automotive industry, industrial industry, or similar branches
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Possess good communication skills, are representable and a professional negotiator

PACCAR Parts distributes and sells parts under various brand names exclusively through the DAF dealer network, which comprises more than 1,100 dealers. The PACCAR Parts range includes over 100,000 different items.
