Job description

Does creating new opportunities with catching marketing propositions gives you energy? Do you have strong project management and commercial skills? Than you might be the new Product Manager we are looking for to further strengthen our PACCAR Parts Marketing Team. In this challenging job you play an important role in defining product, price and proposition strategies for different product groups. By doing this you shape the PACCAR Parts assortment for the future!

As a Product Manager you are in charge of your assortment. Frequent contact with customers and suppliers gives you insights on what is needed in your assortment. By using all available promotional opportunities, you reach sales and profit targets. A strategic role where you manage your own parts store!

You are responsible for all product marketing aspects for DAF and PACCAR Genuine or TRP parts:

  • You determine the assortment, branding, pricing strategy and the distribution within your assigned product group, in line with the PACCAR Parts long term strategy and our customers’ requirements
  • You participate in multidisciplinary teams and have frequent consultations with Sales units, Dealers, Customers, Suppliers, Purchasing, Materials, Marketing Programs, Business Intelligence and Truck Marketing
  • You initiate and manage projects, assortment reviews and product introductions and align with all stakeholders via clear communication on project- timings, forecasts and milestones
  • You are able to perform sales and profit analyses per product group and to report these in a structured way with the aim of improving sales and profit
  • You maintain, create and collect commercial parts documentation and product promotion tools to support sales
  • You provide relevant information regarding sales promotions and product training to our dealers and customers

Your profile

  • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with extensive knowledge and experience in the field of Sales and Marketing, After Sales or Engineering
  • You are commercially driven and have several years of relevant working experience, preferably in the automotive industry
  • You are eager on identifying commercial opportunities and know how to exploit these in a decisive, appropriate and convincing way
  • You are entrepreneurial, self-starting and proactive and you have a great sense of responsibility
  • Ability to communicate difficult business cases and technical information in a simple way to stakeholders within various departments
  • Collaborate well in interdisciplinary project teams; Self-motivated and proactive
  • An excellent knowledge of MS Office and outstanding spoken and written communication skills and excellent presentation skills in English

PACCAR parts Europe (PPE) works closely with more than 1,000 DAF dealers, TRP stores and customers around the world to grow the aftermarket business. In addition, PPE is one of the largest suppliers to the American, Brazilian and Australian spare parts organizations. To satisfy our customers’ ‘one-stop shop’ requirement, PPE sells DAF and PACCAR branded parts for DAF truck applications and TRP branded parts for other truck makes, semi-trailers and workshop items.

Department
The Product Management department is responsible for implementing, creating and managing the product marketing activities for all brands of Parts. This ranges from identifying the need for expansions on the assortment, working with the Purchasing department to select suppliers, optimizing the marketing mix of logistics, pricing and promotion with the respective supporting departments and ensuring the continued sales success in the market together with the Sales department.
